Dr. Willem S.C. van Opijnen, DDS
Originally from the Boston area, Dr. van Opijnen has family roots in the Netherlands, where his parents immigrated in the early 1960s. He earned both his Master's and Doctorate degrees from the prestigious University of Amsterdam, School of Dentistry (ACTA), recognized globally for its excellence in research and education. Dr. van Opijnen is a life-member in good standing with the American Dental Association and the California Dental Society.
At his practice, Dr. van Opijnen and his dedicated staff focus on delivering high-quality dental care tailored to each patient's unique needs and preferences. They prioritize open communication, ensuring that all treatment options are thoroughly discussed and agreed upon before proceeding. Their ultimate goal is to achieve successful, personalized outcomes for every patient.
Specializing in a wide range of cosmetic and restorative dentistry, Dr. van Opijnen provides services such as veneers, crowns, bridges, and implant restorations. In addition, he offers root canal treatments and most extractions, providing comprehensive care under one roof.
After relocating to the North State in the early 2000s, Dr. van Opijnen and his wife raised two wonderful sons. As a family, they cherish time spent traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and creating meaningful memories together.
Pat Swithenbank
Pat has had a passion for dentistry for over 30 years. She received her RDA from Sacramento City College and has attended various continuing education classes to extend her knowledge with placing and restoring implants. Initially working as a back-office assistant, Pat now works as Dr. van Opijnen's office manager.
She and Michael, her husband of over 30 years, moved to the Red Bluff area over 25 years ago. They have three grown children, twin grandsons and one Springer Spaniel, Kooper. In her spare time, Pat enjoys cooking and traveling.
Mady Kibler
Mady is a lifetime resident of Shasta County. She attended Anderson High School and graduated from the dental hygiene program at Shasta College in 2017. She loves the Northstate and feels fortunate to call it home. Her fun time is spent with her husband and two young daughters.
She enjoys her work and has an energetic outlook on the importance and advances that dental hygiene has made in the past decade. Mady understands the connection between good dental care and how it equates to good health. She loves learning and sharing the never-ending advancements always happening in the field of dentistry and hygiene.
MARITZA
Maritza, born and raised in the Bay area loves dentistry and has many years of experience. Graduated from Dental Assisting School, Carrington College. Maritza has 2 small children, and is surrounded by a large loving extended family. She enjoys being outdoors with her children and loves to listen to music. She is bilingual and embraces her Hispanic heritage.
